Life has a tendency to ebb and flow. There are times we feel calm, confident, and settled, and times when happiness eludes us and we feel anxious, stressed, and uncertain.
EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a comprehensive and powerful method that often brings quick and lasting relief for most types of emotional distress.
It is an effective mind body approach that works with the memory systems in the brain by reprocessing troubling thoughts creating space for positive and adaptive thoughts to come into focus. At the conclusion of therapy, clients report feeling calm, hopeful, and confident to move forward with their lives.
While my counseling approach is tailored for each client’s unique needs, EMDR therapy is the primary treatment focus because of the life changing results clients generally experience.
